The National Electrical Code

of flammable gases, vapors, dust, fibers or flyings.
In pulp and paper processing facilities, hazardous
locations may be present due to gases or chemicals,
which fall under NEC

Class I, due to the presence
of combustible dust, which falls under NEC
®
Class II,
or from the presence of fibers and flyings from
wood processing, classified as NEC
®
Class III.
