Section 362.20(B) Maximum

(B) Maximum. ENT larger than metric designator 63 (trade size 2-½) shall not be used.

Analysis of the Change

New Product: 2-1/2 trade size of ENT. Section 362.20(B) was revised to increase the maximum trade size of ENT from trade size 2 to trade size 2-½. Bi-National Standard UL1653/ CSA C22.2 No. 227.1-06, Electrical Nonmetallic Tubing, has been revised to allow for metric designator 63. This larger size of ENT is currently permitted to be used in Canada per the Canadian Electrical Code. Bi-National Standard UL1653/ CSA C22.2 No. 227.1-06, Electrical Nonmetallic Tubing, has been revised to include both dimensional and performance requirements.
