During the 1950s and
1960s, America spent
3–4% of its national GDP
on infrastructure. Today,
America spends less than
2.5% of GDP on infra-
structure. In order to bring
our existing infrastructure
up to “good condition,”
the country needs to
spend approximately $2.2
trillion on infrastructure
repairs and upgrades.
